Hal acquired the Brewer Yacht Sales from Brewer Yacht Yards (now within the family of Safe Harbor Marinas) with the goal of continuing the Brewer tradition of honesty, integrity, and respect. Although Brewer Yacht Sales is now an independent entity, it is dedicated to continuing “business as usual” with the Brewer team and providing professional, knowledgeable guidance as clients pursue their dreams of being on the water. Brewer Yacht Sales will continue to have offices at the ten present locations at Brewer/Safe Harbor Marinas located in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and New York with growth plans to expand the locations from Maine to Florida and nationally to serve their client base as a preferred business partner of Safe Harbor Marinas.
Drew Ferraro grew up in and around the waters of Southern California, surfing and working his first job as an ocean lifeguard. His passion for the sea led him to apply to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, where he served as Class President and graduated with his commission as an Officer in the Coast Guard.
Upon graduation, he served 7 continuous years on sea duty on 4 different ships, traveling to 28 countries across 3 continents. He served as Captain of both a 110’ Island Class Patrol Boat and a 154’ Fast Response Cutter, and as Navigator of a 418’ National Security Cutter. During that time, he also lived aboard a 39’ Ericson “ZENITH”, experiencing the liveaboard and marina lifestyle and cruising the Intracoastal Waterway.
After leaving the Coast Guard, Drew decided the perfect way forward was to join the team at Brewer Yacht Sales, putting his skill and knowledge to work for you. Leveraging his professionalism, expertise, and discretion, Drew looks forward to helping you sell your boat, or putting you in the perfect boat that fits your needs. He will make sure your experience is seamless from start to finish.
In his spare time, he likes sailing the Long Island Sound, reading history books, and attempting to cook.

I joined the Brewer Yacht Sales team upon the completion of their new offices in Pilots Point Marina’s North Yard in 1994. My previous experience as the founder and managing owner of Colvin Yacht Sales let me help many families enter and enjoy the "boating lifestyle" through our new brokerage boat sales as well as our sailing school and charter programs.
I continue to enjoy working with families, whether moving up in the boating world or just beginning. I welcome the opportunity to help you with the purchase or sale of your next boat.
When not on the water with customers, I can be found on the water with my own family. Depending on the season, I will be traveling in an RV, skiing, hiking, motorcycling, or biking
