After successfully defending the America's Cup in Barcelona, world-class sailor Nathan Outteridge and his family took time out aboard Mpola Mpola—a 2024 Astrea 42 Owner’s Version by Fountaine Pajot. Designed for a perfect blend of performance and comfort, Mpola Mpola is now offered for sale as the Outteridge family prepares for their next campaign.

Built by Fountaine Pajot Catamarans and designed by Berret-Racoupeau, Mpola Mpola features mini keels, GRP hull and deck construction, and is presented in near-new condition with low engine hours. Powered by twin Volvo Penta D2-50 (50 Hp, 2024), she delivers reliable performance with excellent fuel efficiency.

The three-cabin Maestro layout includes three queen berths, electric freshwater heads (3), and two full showers plus a transom shower. The saloon table converts to an additional berth with a custom mattress. The master suite boasts walk-around slatted beds with storage beneath, a custom wardrobe shelf, and a wall-mounted Dyson vacuum. All cabins include 12V fans for comfort.

Interior enhancements include extra towel rails and holders, a cupboard above the starboard stairs, and an additional electric freshwater pump. Hot water capacity is 80 L, and the holding tank holds 200 L.

Sailing systems include Nathan’s personal rigging refinements, a quality sail wardrobe, and a well-designed sport helm. The enclosed helm offers safety, visibility and connectivity with the cockpit and saloon.

Electronics and communications are comprehensive with a Garmin package, Starlink and Iridium Go systems onboard. Mpola Mpola is fully equipped for bluewater cruising.
