Overview

The first comment most sailors make about the Beneteau 331 is “I can’t believe this boat is only 33 feet long!” And once you step aboard this amazing mid-size passage maker, we believe you’ll agree. Built for comfort and ease of handling, you’ll appreciate the wonderful performance capabilities and enormous interior volume – whether you’re taking her for a weekend cruise or racing in a Wednesday night regatta.

Vessel Description:

A 33' fiberglass, sloop-rigged sailboat. Aluminum mast, spreaders and boom. Stainless steel standing rigging with bronze and stainless steel turnbuckles and fittings. Stainless steel bow and stern pulpits with double stainless steel lifelines on stainless steel stanchions. Aft cockpit with wheel steering.

Powered by a Yanmar 3YM30 diesel (hours unknown, regularly maintained with fluids changed last year), she offers reliable propulsion paired with easy sailing from her roller-furling mainsail and jib (Schurr Sails, 2020).

She received new running rigging in 2025 and a bottom job in February 2025 with Pettit Interlux Blue.

History of Vessel

TIPSEA spent her early years on an inland freshwater lake in Texas, where she remained until 2010, when her original owner brought her to the Texas coast. From 2010 to 2014, she was lightly used before being sold to her current owner, who has continued her care with timely, documented maintenance and thoughtful upgrades.

Under her current ownership, she has enjoyed regular use while benefiting from consistent upkeep, ensuring systems remain operational and ready for cruising. She is currently moored in Pass Christian Harbor, offering quick and convenient access to the Gulf.

Transportation to Pass Christian is easier than ever, with the new Gulf Coast train service connecting New Orleans to Mobile starting summer 2025. This makes seeing the boat easy from the nearby major airports.
