Introduced in 2004, the Four Winns 288 Vistas' blend of solid construction, comfortable accommodations, and competitive price makes her a strong contender in the under-30-foot segment of today's express-boat market. Built on a modified-V hull with cored hullsides, the interior of the 288 Vista is a little larger than other boats in her class thanks to a wide 9-foot, 8-inch beam. The layout, which differs little from other midcabin cruisers, Sleeps six with double berths fore and aft and a convertible Ultraleather
settee in the main cabin. The midcabin area is a tight fit, but the head is large, and the galley has the refrigerator located above the microwave, so you don't have to bend down to reach it. For after-hours privacy, curtains separate the sleeping areas from the main
cabin. Topside, the cockpit is configured with a U-shaped lounge aft, refreshment center with slide-out cooler, removable table, and an electric engine hatch. Note that the double helm seat has a flip up bolster for the driver. An extended swim platform, aluminum
radar arch, tilt steering wheel, and transom shower were standard. With twin 270hp Volvo sterndrives, the 288 Vista will cruise in the low 20s and reach 30+ knots wide open.
