Overview

Accommodations

  • Great interior layout for a cruising couple. 2 private staterooms with double berths and a dinette that converts to an additional double berth. The starboard side seats can convert to a settee and double as an additional single berth. Having a large head with a separate shower stall is a must when cruising. Headroom is not an issue on this vessel with 6'6" height.
  • Starting forward is the guest stateroom with an offset double berth and a filler to make an even wider berth. Hanging locker to port, cabinet with shelves to port, drawers under the berth and shelves outboard. Large hatch above for excellent ventilation and light. The teak joinery coupled with her teak and holly sole is inviting and warms the space.
  • Next is the main salon; It is warm and inviting yet bright and open. Here too one will find the Teak joinery as well as the teak and holly sole. Her white Ultra-leather cushions brighten the interior even more and are not only comfortable but easy to clean. Numerous opening ports, large side windows, hull side ports and hatches add a ton of light as well as ventilation. To port is the L-shaped dinette with a fixed table that can drop allowing one to make the dinette into an additional double berth. One of Catalina's great design features is the 2 seats on the starboard side with a table in between, this is both comfortable as well as a nice place to relax and have a cup of coffee or play cards on a rainy day. It also converts to a settee or can be an additional single berth when needed. Aft to starboard is the Navigation station with electric panel as well as a bulkhead mounted Bosch "On demand" hot water heater via propane. This is followed by the large head with separate shower stall. Access to the head is from the salon or the Master Cabin aft. Aft to port is the U-shaped Sea galley with everything one needs for extended cruising. Centerline steps lead to the cockpit and allow access to the engine compartment.
  • Aft of the galley is the access to the Master Cabin. She has a large athwartships berth with seats port and starboard, shelving locker to starboard, hanging locker to port and vanity center forward of the berth (this is also serves as an additional access to the engine compartment).
  • Her cockpit is an extension of her interior adding additional living space especially with her new canvas with screens and a full enclosure with eisenglass. It is large and has a centerline table with drop leaves making dining a pleasure outside. Catbird seats port and starboard on the aft pulpit or pushpit. Walk thru transom leads to her "Sugar Scoop" platform with port and starboard lockers that double as seats. This also makes boarding from a dinghy much easier and has a large fold down swim ladder. Her wide decks and inboard shrouds make moving about the foredeck easy.

  • This is truly an exceptional vessel. This broker has not seen a cleaner boat even at the boatshows, check out that bilge, one could eat out of it. Windwalker has lived on Lake Ontario until Sept. of 2022 when she was trucked to Oxford, Md.
  • If you are looking for a boat with absolutely nothing needed and you can just jump aboard and confidently sail away, look no further.

The water has always been a part of my life since learning to sail aboard a Sailfish while vacationing in Chatham, Massachusetts. At twelve, I graduated to Penguins and 420’s at the Tred Avon Yacht Club in Oxford, Maryland. My parents always belonged to the Corinthian Yacht Club in Philadelphia and I often accompanied them on cruises aboard a Hinckley Bermuda 40 that we cruised in the Chesapeake.

Understanding banking after working 12 years for Loyola Savings and Loan of Maryland, I helped navigate the purchase of a 32’ Pearson Vanguard for a friend and taught him to sail. Loving the idea of sharing my passion for boating, I joined Oxford Boatyard Yacht Sales (in what is now Safe Harbor Oxford Boatyard and Marina) in 1990 and worked as a broker and office manager for 25 years.

In 1993, Oxford Boatyard Yacht Sales became a dealer for Sabre and Back Cove Motor Yachts and I acquired an understanding and respect for powerboats. I worked closely with the boatyard commissioning new vessels and working as a liaison between new owners and the marina. I have an intimate understanding of the boat buying process - how to guide new owners through surveys, sea trials, registration, and documentation.

I love all boats and each one has its own quality. Though I would consider myself a traditionalist in boat design, I like what the new designs offer in comfort and ability.

My husband (of 30 years) and I live in Easton, Maryland. My husband is the rigging supervisor at Safe Harbor Oxford Boatyard and our daughter, having graduated from Washington College in 2020, is now teaching English as well as coaching the sailing team at the Gunston School in Centreville, Md. She has recently come on board as the Summer Sailing Director with the Tred Avon Yacht Club.

I am starting my 7th year as a broker with Brewer Yacht Sales and in addition to my office at Safe Harbor Zahniser’s in Solomon’s, Maryland I now have an office at Safe Harbor Oxford. This enables me to cover the territory from the Eastern Shore to Solomon’s Island and everything in between.

I look forward to speaking with you and sharing my passion for boats. Let me help you find the perfect yacht or support and guide you in the sale of your existing vessel!
