The TIARA 3800 Open has a balsa cored hull for the hull topsides areas. The hull construction is of solid fiberglass from the chines downwards. The hull laminates are of hand laid-up fiberglass.

Further forward and to port is the large Head with a good-sized stall shower. The Forward / Master Stateroom has a "Queen Centerline Berth" and a hanging locker that's located on the port side.

Propulsion

The ENCORE is powered by (2) CUMMINS CTA8.3-M4 FWC marine diesels that are rated at 480 HP each. The port engine was completely rebuilt in 2020 & the starboard engine got a new cylinder head also in 2020. At WOT (wide open throttle), she'll do some 30 knots at 2680 RPM and will comfortably cruise in the 24-26 knot ranges & around 2200 RPM's.

The large primary Engine Room access is via the entire Helm Deck area lift system (electric / mechanical & pivots forward) and the secondary access is via the provided Day Hatch in the forward part of the Helm Deck.
