Boat History Report

Description

Just listed, Interlude is a beautiful example of a classic Downeast Diesel Express Cruiser that is clean and turnkey. Recent upgrades include her Garmin 1242xzv Electronics, Isotherm Refrigeration and her soda blasted/barrier coated bottom.  Everything works and she is ready to cruise. Why buy new?

The Legacy 28 is known to deliver a soft, stable ride with excellent tracking and a low bow riding angle for excellent visibility at any speed. Her 260 hp Yanmar Diesel will cruise comfortably over 20 knots or share a quiet evening with friends at slower speeds. She will cruise at 15-16 kts getting 4.5-5.0 gallons per hour! Either way, Interlude will provide excellent fuel efficiency and with under water exhaust is quiet and fume free when running.

Interlude may be shipped internationally from 2 nearby shipping depots. Ask about the possibility of a discounted slip at an upscale Rhode Island Marina. Keep in mind that RI does not have sales or use taxes on vessels berthed there.

Vessel Walkthrough

The area forward below decks features a large vee berth with insert. A galley aft to port includes a two burner propane cooktop, under-counter AC/DC refrigerator-freezer, stainless sink with hot and cold pressure water, and storage. The head to stbd includes a Wilcox Crittendon electric toilet (with fresh or salt flush) with holding tank discharge from the deck, vanity with shower and hot and cold pressure water. Varnished cherry trim and varnished teak and holly sole make the area below warm and inviting. A large overhead deck hatch and 4 large polished stainless steel opening portlights with screens add light and ventilation.

Up three steps the bridge deck area has separate helm and companion pedestal seats with opposing double bench seats aft. A removable varnished, teak table may be installed between these benches or aft in front of a full width, forward-facing, transom bench. The aft cockpit and bridge deck areas are great for entertaining. Wide side decks, stainless grab rails, and a high stainless bow rail make going forward safe and comfortable. The bridge deck is protected by a polished stainless steel windshield and full Sunbrella enclosure with bimini top new (2017). The center windshield opens with an electric actuator.

I have been fortunate enough to be with the Brewer organization as a customer since 1992 and as a Brewer Yacht Sales broker since 2001 at the Warwick, RI location. Before that, I held a 100 Ton USCG Masters License, enjoyed senior corporate positions, and backed up my experience by becoming a Certified Professional Yacht Broker, (CPYB-only 550 in North America) and a member of the Yacht Broker Association of America (YBAA).

In addition to the professional awards recognizing my contributions to the boating community, I am most proud of the professional manner in which my associates at Brewer Yacht Sales do business. I have sold over 600 brokerage boats and I am equally comfortable with power and sailboats. I have owned more than a dozen boats from a 54’ Vagabond Schooner to my current boats: a 42’ Trawler and 22’ Tripp Angler.

My priority is to find the right boat for my customer, regardless of who has the listing. I believe in listening to my clients and feel confident that they will benefit from my many years of experience. Please keep in mind we always have qualified buyers for quality listings. Whether you are buying or selling, please feel free to contact me and I will do my best to help you.
