Accommodations

  • The Viking Princess Motor Yacht 50 is a wonderful design with the comfort for living aboard indefinately. Her exterior is welcoming and can accommodate large gatherings. Her large swim platform makes entering the vessel easy and walks one into her large cockpit with built-in bench seat aft and room for additional chairs. Steps both port and starboard lead to her side decks and to the foredeck. High stainless steel side rails as well as stainless steel handrails make walking forward feel safe and secure. Built-in steps lead to her extremely large flybridge area with built-in U-shaped seating to starboard and double wide helm seat on port with a full enclosure. Day Fridge at the aft end of the seating area.
  • One enters the Salon from the cockpit thru sliding glass door. The salon wraps you in comfort with new (Nov. 2025) carpet, U-shaped couch to starboard and table. Opposite to port is a settee. Lovely Ultra-leather beige cushions and high gloss cherry cabinetry add to her warmth below. Aft to port is the entertainment center with large flat screen TV. The engine room access is via hatches in the main salon floor for ease in maintenance. Curtains port and starboard for privacy. All the way forward is the inside helm to starboard with double seat. Visibility is excellent from both the Flybridge as well as the inside helm with large wrap around windows.
  • Down a couple of steps is the Galley to port followed by a large L-shaped dinette with table. Moving forward and to starboard is the guest cabin with 2 twin beds and lockers. Access to the wiring under the helm is via the aft bulkhead which makes for easy access to the well organized wiring. Guest head has vanity with sink and storage, head and separate shower stall. All the way forward is the Master Stateroom with center line queen berth, outboard storage, overhead hatch, hanging locker and private head. Head is larger than the guest head with a larger separate shower stall.
  • She is light and bright below deck and so welcoming. If you are searching for a comfortable vessel to cruise or live-aboard the Viking Princess Sport Cruiser has everything you need. Her Onan generator 15 KW will run everything as if you were plugged into shore power. She is designed as a capable vessel with more than enough speed and well built to deal with the unexpected. Different Drummer has proven herself for over 20 years and is ready to take her next owners on their adventure of a lifetime.

The water has always been a part of my life since learning to sail aboard a Sailfish while vacationing in Chatham, Massachusetts. At twelve, I graduated to Penguins and 420’s at the Tred Avon Yacht Club in Oxford, Maryland. My parents always belonged to the Corinthian Yacht Club in Philadelphia and I often accompanied them on cruises aboard a Hinckley Bermuda 40 that we cruised in the Chesapeake.

Understanding banking after working 12 years for Loyola Savings and Loan of Maryland, I helped navigate the purchase of a 32’ Pearson Vanguard for a friend and taught him to sail. Loving the idea of sharing my passion for boating, I joined Oxford Boatyard Yacht Sales (in what is now Safe Harbor Oxford Boatyard and Marina) in 1990 and worked as a broker and office manager for 25 years.

In 1993, Oxford Boatyard Yacht Sales became a dealer for Sabre and Back Cove Motor Yachts and I acquired an understanding and respect for powerboats. I worked closely with the boatyard commissioning new vessels and working as a liaison between new owners and the marina. I have an intimate understanding of the boat buying process - how to guide new owners through surveys, sea trials, registration, and documentation.

I love all boats and each one has its own quality. Though I would consider myself a traditionalist in boat design, I like what the new designs offer in comfort and ability.

My husband (of 30 years) and I live in Easton, Maryland. My husband is the rigging supervisor at Safe Harbor Oxford Boatyard and our daughter, having graduated from Washington College in 2020, is now teaching English as well as coaching the sailing team at the Gunston School in Centreville, Md. She has recently come on board as the Summer Sailing Director with the Tred Avon Yacht Club.

I am starting my 7th year as a broker with Brewer Yacht Sales and in addition to my office at Safe Harbor Zahniser’s in Solomon’s, Maryland I now have an office at Safe Harbor Oxford. This enables me to cover the territory from the Eastern Shore to Solomon’s Island and everything in between.

I look forward to speaking with you and sharing my passion for boats. Let me help you find the perfect yacht or support and guide you in the sale of your existing vessel!
