Founded in 1966 by Ted Irwin — a prolific American sailor, designer, and entrepreneur — Irwin Yachts grew to become one of the largest sailboat manufacturers in the U.S. Irwin’s designs were known for combining solid sailing performance with spacious, comfortable interiors, making them popular among both coastal and long-distance sailors.
