Description
The WINDSONG II is a 1988 Hallberg-Rassy 352 center-cockpit cruising yacht as produced by the renowned Hallberg-Rassy AB of Sweden. Designed by Christoph Rassy & Olle Enderlein, the HR 352 proved to be an exceptionally successful production model. The WINDSONG II is the 655th example built out of a total of 802 constructed from 1978 through 1991!
To further secure her offshore cruising credentials, the HR 352 also conforms to the modern CE Category "A", "Unlimited Ocean Voyaging" and the yacht was delivered with a Lloyd's Certificate of Hull Construction. In fact, the WINDSONG II has the Factory Option "Tall Rig" that certainly contributed to her winning her "Short-Handed" Division in the 2005 Marion to Bermuda Race which is a classic offshore sailing event known to all.
The WINDSONG II has had her teak overlay removed from the side decks. The non-skid surfaces are nicely-finished with a light gray AWLGRIP paint. The overall results are certainly outstanding and the liability is no longer extant for the eventual removal and refurbishment otherwise to face a potential Owner!
The WINDSONG II's electronics were all replaced in 2018 and include RAYMARINE's I70 Series performance & navigation units as well as a ES97 Digital Chart Plotter & QUANTUM Q24C Radar. The sail inventory includes a new DOYLE roller-furling genoa & a NORTH mainsail. Her overall maintenance has been diligent and the VOLVO-PENTA 2003T just recently had her turbo unit replaced too. In addition, her interior cushions have all been replaced this year as well!
For clients who are inspired by the notion of the WINDSONG II. appointments for a viewing are urged. She's the only example for sale in North America at this time and, once she's "gone", it will probably be quite a wait for another HR 352 and especially presentable at this level of condition and equipage.
