Overview
Stunning and fully updated Ellis 28 with extended pilothouse. This vessel lived in Maine for her first 33 years and was stored indoors for the majority of the year, only launched for one month each season. Her Yanmar 140 HP diesel allows for fuel efficient cruising at 10 kts with a top end above 12 kts.
Nearly every system has been updated or upgraded, with work done by the current owner and Ellis Boat Works in SW Harbor Maine. Some brief highlights include:

- Hand laid solid fiberglass hull with four 2″x 6″ stringers and 3/4″ marine plywood main bulkhead with an Awlgrip finish.

Accomodations

Helmdeck settee slides out to create a full-size berth. All helmdeck windows open, and air conditioning is available off the dock via an inverter (or on the dock via larger shore-power HVAC system).
Cabin includes a forward V-berth with storage beneath. Enclosed electric head to starboard. Teak & holly cabin sole with ceilings on interior hull sides. Galley to port.
Aft enclosure with teak sliding door which opens to a charming aft cockpit with removable awning, fully cushioned aft bench seat and removable inlaid teak table with folding teak chairs.
