The Cape Dory 30 is constructed with a robust solid fiberglass hull, longitudinal stringers tabbed into the hull,

a balsa-cored fiberglass deck, and a fiberglassed encapsulated full keel with an attached rudder. Designed by Carl Alberg for directional stability, durability and seaworthiness, The moderate displacement-to-length ratio gives the Cape Dory 30 a solid, comfortable motion.

A traditional interior, with an ergonomic layout optimized for a couple or a small family. A V-berth forward, abaft to port which is an enclosed electric head. To starboard is a custom sail storage locker. The main saloon has settees port and starboard, and a drop down table. Ample storage for extended cruising. Shelves outboard, cubbies port and starboard The compact galley to port is equipped with stainless steel sink and an Origo 3000 alcohol 2 burner stove.
