Boat History Report

Description

The FOREVER is a 1980 Grand Banks 42 Classic Trawler. She's powered by two FORD LEHMAN Model 2715 120 HP diesels that were rebuilt a few years ago. The FOREVER also has the optional "single large berth" for the Master Stateroom aft & with an Entertainment Center in the Salon, port side. With over 300 Grand Banks 42 Classics produced since the 1970's, it is clear that the GB 42 is .. and has been .. one of the most popular power cruising yachts ever designed & produced.

All of the FOREVER's original side & bridge deck teak has been removed and the area refinished with an attractive Light Tan AWLGRIP painted finish for the nonskid surface areas. Her FORD LEHMAN engines were both completely overhauled and now have only some 800 hours logged since the work was accomplished. The yacht presents herself very well being neat & clean and with continuing updates regarding her inventory and maintenance.

For clients looking for a "step aboard & go" yacht of this type, well, here she is! The Owners have decided to sell the FOREVER after enjoying the past several years since their purchase cruising the East Coast from FL to MA. Given her details and excellent price point, both interest and viewings are certainly to be encouraged.

The FOREVER is located at her Winter Storage facility in Stamford, CT.

Grand Banks Yachts – Timeless Elegance, Unmatched Craftsmanship

Since 1956, Grand Banks Yachts has been a benchmark in luxury yacht design and engineering, earning a reputation for their classic lines, impeccable craftsmanship, and superior seaworthiness. From their earliest days, Grand Banks has delivered yachts that stand the test of time, making them a top choice for discerning yachtsmen worldwide.

Grand Banks made waves with the iconic Grand Banks 36, the trawler that started it all in 1964. This groundbreaking design, known for its practical layout, efficiency, and seaworthiness, set the standard for their Heritage Series, which continues to delight cruising enthusiasts. The larger Grand Banks 42 also became a staple, celebrated for its spacious design and long-range capabilities.

In addition to the Heritage Series, the Eastbay Series brought a Downeast-inspired sporty style to the brand in the 1990s, with models like the Eastbay 38 and Eastbay 43 offering impressive performance and elegance. These yachts combined the charm of traditional styling with the power and speed modern owners demanded.

Today, Grand Banks’ modern lineup—including the Grand Banks 6054, and 85—seamlessly blends classic craftsmanship with cutting-edge innovation. Featuring advanced materials, fuel-efficient V-Warp® hull designs, and luxurious interiors, these models set new benchmarks for comfort and performance. With the addition of the sleek and stylish Palm Beach Series, Grand Banks caters to those who crave contemporary designs and exceptional efficiency.
