Palmer Johnson 42' 42

This 1976 Palmer Johnson 42-Footer is nicely appointed for cruising the Great Lakes and beyond. It has done so for over 20 years. 

The aluminum hull and deck were painted in 2008 and are still in good condition. 

The engine was completely rebuilt this last year by a professional diesel mechanic and has receipts. The hydraulic drive was completely rebuilt last year as well. There are loads of sails for every situation and everything you need to start your next adventure.

• Type 2 Auto Pilot (wireless) and AIS.
• The boat has a Maxwell Windless (2200#) with Bruce Anchor
• The Galley has a gas stove/oven, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, and kitchen utensils.
• The electrical system has 2 x 8D batteries (new 2024),
• solar panel, 2000 watt inverter/charger with full electrical panel.

There is an inflatable Dinghy with an outboard motor.

Sleeps - 7 in salon, forward stateroom, and aft stateroom.

Custom-made cradle, which can be pulled behind a car w/o the boat.

The current owner purchased it to be used as a summer sailing home and to explore the Great Lakes. The boat was recommissioned as "Divertimento" (fun in Italian).

After a summer of sailing in 2000, the boat came to rest at its new home in Kewaunee, Wisconsin. 

Over the next 24 years, Divertimento was re-done entirely inside and out; and

sailed by the family thousands of miles around the Great Lakes (Michigan, Huron,

Georgian Bay and Superior). The boat is currently located in Kewaunee, Wisconsin.

Divertimento is a well-balanced, fast, fun, and safe boat built with integrity by one of the finest

builders in the world.
