Overview

Jeanie Marie was built by Richard Bulger, Al Michaud Sr, and George Francis, at Al Michaud's shop in Manset, Maine in 1972. She was built as a pleasure boat and sailed for one season before she was bought by Warren Goodwin who outfitted her as a working lobster boat. She has her 135 HP Ford diesel in the cabin that has been well run and maintained through the years. For a new owner, a new 210 Cummins diesel installed can be available for about $16k.

Full Details

CONSTRUCTION

Cedar planking over oak frames. Oak keel, stem, deadwood, toe and guard rails, and transom framing. Bronze screw fastened, refastened in sections over past ten years. Platform and decks are painted fir. Cabin and shelter tops are glassed over marine plywood. Handrails along both cabin and shelter tops. Three-window windshield with starboard window opening. Port and starboard side windows. The hull and superstructure are painted white with blue trim and bottom, gray decks and platform.

ENGINE

The 1987 Ford diesel, 135 HP, Borg-Warner transmission, 2:1. Dry exhaust via piping through aft cabintop. Brass shaft swinging a 4-blade bronze propeller.

TANK

Fuel: 35 gallons in a Monel tank, port side on platform.

SPEED

Cruise: 11 knots

Top: 17 knots

ELECTRICAL

12v battery, navigational bow and stern lights, electronics, overhead lights in the wheelhouse and cabin.

LAYOUT

In the cabin, forward is the anchor and chain area followed by space for storage and gear. The engine and hydraulics are in the aft cabin. Sitting headroom. LED overhead lights and four ports. Up a step through the port companionway into the wheelhouse. The helm is to starboard with the dash and overhead housing gauges and electronics, spot light and LED lights. Sheathing below the starboard toerail for trap hauling. A solid wall with window is port side. Headroom at helm is 6'. The platform is 14' long.
