When entering the Salon from the Aft deck you feel the space provided by the vessels 18' 2" beam. The Aft double doors provide you a large entryway into the vessel that can be locked open to allow the fresh air and sea breeze to flow through the main level of this vessel. The beautiful classic Marlow teak and holly sole in the Salon is just the beginning of the quality of fit and finish you will see when aboard all Marlow Explorers. The floors are beautifully hand crafted from the same teak log used for the entire vessel, showing off the identically matching grains and colors lined from bow to stern.
The Pilothouse is located three steps up from the Salon and includes the lower helm station, dinette and Galley. There are Port and Starboard Pilothouse doors for ease of access to the covered exterior walkways, a staircase Forward to Starboard descends to the high-end staterooms, and a staircase on the Port side Aft ascends to the Flybridge. The Galley is very well equipped with new appliances and generous storage for provisions and houseware. The U-shaped galley is designed utilizing beautiful "Black Galaxy" granite countertops.
The beauty of the raised Pilothouse design is the lower helm moves up and forward enough to provide panoramic visibility for ease of operation. The details you will find when exploring inside this gorgeous hand-crafted Burmese teak wood interior will astonish you! When entering the captains' helm station one can't help but notice the exquisitely hand-crafted teak & ebony ship's wheel. Because of the exceptionally wide-open layout midship you have excellent direct visibility straight through the Salon and on to the Aft deck.
In addition, this magnificent yacht is well equipped with the cutting-edge Yacht Controller making docking and mooring a breeze! Even if you come from a smaller sized boat with a little practice, you will find yourself running this boat easily from the Pilothouse or docking with ease while walking to the side decks of the Flybridge and using the Yacht Controller to easily detect how close you are to the dock and pilings.
The Master stateroom is amidship and is the full width of the hull with a private head and shower. The teak and holly sole throughout gives "Namaste" a very light and spacious feel. She has an island king berth with large drawers underneath. There are two cedar-lined hanging lockers and several additional lockers with shelving. The TV is easily viewed from the berth with a beautiful teak nightstand on each side and large dovetail drawers mounted on ball bearing slides and a beautifully curved solid teak valance over the headboard with upgraded LED lights. The slots in the top valance diffuse the air-conditioning and creates a cool draft of fresh air circulating through the space.
The VIP suite forward has a centerline island queen berth with six large drawers under the berth. All the cabinetry is satin teak. There is a full head with a separate stall shower accessible from the stateroom or the Companionway to be utilized as a day head.
The third guest stateroom is on the Port side at the base of the stairs from the Pilothouse. This stateroom provides two generously sized bunks and a cedar-lined hanging locker. Double bi-fold teak doors open this area to the Companionway when you descend from the Pilothouse giving this yacht a very open feel. This bunk room also has a specialty built hand-crafted office study desk with a large teak lift top and conventional swing out attached ultra leather stool.
Most Captains often tell us that we have the best Engine rooms they have ever seen! With full-standing headroom and generous access to all components. The area is well lit with upgraded LED lighting. There are (4) blowers to cool the space down after a run. Each diesel engine has dual redundant Racor fuel filters. The fuel system is upgraded with 1930 gallons of fuel that can be filled from either side of the protected exterior walkway. The engine beds are solid polished stainless steel and secure the engine vibration isolation mounts to the stringers. They run all the way past the transmissions to accept the thrust load of the aqua drive units. The dripless shafts seals have a crossover tube that supplies water from both engines so you can safely run on one engine if needed. Centerline forward in the engine room, you will find a large single sea chest to provide raw water flow to each of the engines, generation, A/C system, etc. All components of the yacht that require raw water have their own shut-off valve on the sea chest, so individual components can be isolated easily. Having one thru hull opening and a watertight engine room door vastly reduces possible leak points and ensures the vessel maintains a high level of seaworthiness and safety.
The flybridge is an excellent place for fair weather cruising and entertaining guests. The Stidd helm chair is very comfortable. The Garmin package is complete with 12kw radar, and sounder module. The console also has displays for wind velocity and direction, water depth, and boat speed. The Flybridge is accessible by stairs from inside the Pilothouse and from a forward stairway in the Cockpit. There is comfortable mirrored seating Aft of the helm chair and a large table perfect for dining outside.
Marlow Yachts are constructed with the most modern materials and techniques providing more strength with less weight. The use of Kevlar, modified epoxy resins, and high-density core materials allow the Marlow Explorer to be stronger than the heaviest of hulls at a fraction of the weight. Modern honeycomb and structural foam are used on every counter, cabinet and sole in the yacht. The increased range and reduced fuel costs will be of great benefit.
