Board via the wide swim platform and transom to the cockpit-style aft deck (new carpet & furniture 9/2024). From here, you can access the port or starboard wide side decks. Entering through the Starboard side pilothouse door you are able to access the flybridge via a ladder from within the pilothouse. The Flybridge with a hinged radar arch, updated seating, and a bridge refrigerator/ice maker. Enter the pilothouse/salon with large windows, new treatments (2024–2025), occasional chairs (2025), and a wine cooler. Forward is the galley & dinette (updated appliances), then the three-stateroom, three-head layout: forward guest, mid guest, and a full-beam aft owner’s suite, each with a Tecma head with all sanitation hoses replaced. Engine room access is wonderful through the lower companionway in the forward berth, you find an apartment-style stackable Washer and a separate dryer.
Tucked in the bow, the forward guest cabin is a smart upper/lower berth arrangement—great for kids, grand-kids, or crew. Warm teak joinery frames the space, with a tall mirrored locker at the entry and a bank of drawers and cubbies to starboard. Each berth has its own reading light and deep drawer storage below. The cabin sits adjacent to its own head with shower and the updated Tecma/Purasan sanitation system, so overnight guests have real privacy.
Amidships, the second guest cabin feels unusually generous for a 54’—twin berths separated by a nightstand, hull windows for natural light, and full-length drawers under each berth. Overhead lockers and a hanging closet swallow weeks of clothing, while the adjacent private/semi-private head with shower keeps this cabin comfortable for longer cruises.
Aft is the full-beam owner’s suite—quiet, balanced, and surrounded by Hatteras cabinetry. The center-island queen is flanked by long bureaus and nightstands, providing tremendous drawer and counter space. Soft indirect lighting, drapery, and the custom latex foam mattress (2023) create a restful retreat. Of course, the owner’s head with shower is just steps away, and the suite benefits from its own air-handler for precise climate control.
Highlights
Stepping into the salon, you’re greeted by a bright, gracious living room framed by Hatteras’ signature picture windows. New window treatments (2024) and the 2025 LED lighting upgrade soften the space and highlight the warm satin teak joinery. To starboard, an oversized L-shaped sectional invites a crowd for docktails or movie night, while to port a pair of fresh occasional chairs (2025) flank a side table and lamp for a cozy reading nook. A clear acrylic coffee table keeps sightlines open over the plush carpet, and the whole space feels calm and coastal in a neutral palette.
Forward, a low built-in media cabinet with book shelving anchors a flat-screen TV, with additional storage tucked neatly into the cabinetry. The salon flows naturally into the pilothouse—open to the helm so guests can relax and still be part of the conversation underway—and a sliding door aft (starboard) makes it easy to step outside. Comfort is effortless thanks to the salon’s dedicated 30,000 BTU air-conditioning (two air handlers), and a wine cooler nearby keeps refreshments ready for guests. It’s a true “home aboard” living room: bright by day, inviting by night, and sized right to entertain 6–8 comfortably.
Set a half-level down from the salon, the U-shaped galley is bright, spotless, and designed for real cooking. Neutral solid-surface counters wrap three sides, with under-cabinet task lighting, multiple 110V outlets, and a large single-basin sink with pull-out sprayer beneath a long hullside window. Updates include a Fisher & Paykel French-door refrigerator (20.1 cu ft), F&P convection microwave, and F&P dishwasher, paired with a smooth GE 4-burner electric cooktop/oven—all within easy reach and surrounded by deep lockers and full-height pantry stowage. The easy-care wood sole is warm and resilient, and lift-out hatches provide clean access to machinery spaces below.
Opposite the galley, the dinette seats four comfortably and converts for extra serving space when entertaining. New valances and pleated blinds (2024) dress the space, while the short stair up to the pilothouse keeps the cook connected to the action underway. Everyday livability is excellent: the Victron 3000W inverter/charger powers the refrigerator, microwave, and galley/dinette outlets, so coffee, lunches, and snacks are effortless without running the generator. Taken together, this is a bright, modern working galley that feels residential in scale—perfect for long stays aboard or full-time cruising.
