Port Bow Profile

Flag of Registry: United States
ADA is a 1976 42’ Long Range Cruiser MK 1 and was the fourth 42 LRC launched. With her full-displacement she weighs in at nearly 40,000 lbs. and is a stable cruising trawler full of upgrades that make her an even more comfortable vessel. Designed by Jack Hargrave and built in North Carolina, Hatteras struck success with their design of this stable, ocean-going cruiser. ADA is a capable offshore yacht at the same time sized for coastal cruising and America’s Great Loop. ADA is powered with recently rebuilt twin Detroit Diesel 4-53's. These powerplants are fuel efficient and world-renowned. Along with Naiad stabilizers, solid fiberglass hull, integrated fiberglass tankage and virtually every system upgrade, including the addition of bow and stern thrusters, ADA provides the perfect platform of a classic trawler with all the modern conveniences for a couple or small family.
ADA’s interior living space offers 6’6” of headroom and a generous salon void of built-ins, allowing multiple furniture configurations. This classic trawler offers fore and aft staterooms, each providing a closet, full head with a separate, enclosed shower and an abundance of storage. Adding to the comforts of home, ADA boasts three MarinAire air conditioner units, a 44” TV with Starlink, new refrigeration including a two-drawer refrigerator, icemaker and 2 cu. ft. freezer, large deep sink, dual-filtered water, washer/dryer combo and convection microwave oven.
Outside, ADA offers midship boarding and passage doors port and starboard. She is upgraded with SeaDek decking, two on-deck storage boxes, and an aft deck reconfigured for lounging with a bimini and full enclosure. ADA has a stainless-steel grill station with dedicated propane, a completely enclosed bridge with fiberglass hardtop and air conditioning/heat, a full complement of Garmin electronics, dual helm seats and massive amounts of storage. ADA’s bow sports the most modern ground tackle. Her stern offers a lazarette allowing full access to steering gear, water tanks and all accompanying systems.
She has a swim platform and carries a Boston Whaler 110 on hydraulic davits. For the past 7 years, ADA has been lovingly upgraded and cruised by 2 different couples. She has made dreams come true by completing America’s Great Loop and providing a Great Lakes and ICW adventure for her current disabled owners and is ready to continue her travels, wherever that may be.
