Description
This classic 1985 Whitby 42 ketch bowsprit version cruiser, was built in Canada, and designed by the famed yacht designer Ted Brewer and is comfortable for family cruising or as a true blue water live-aboard. Two separate cabins, each with a private head. All fully overhauled this past year. She is a spacious center cockpit ketch, with a full keel, skeg rudder, balsa cored topsides and solid molded fiberglass below the waterline. As you enter the salon there is a U-shaped galley with a huge Seafrost ice box, 4-burner propane stove/oven, new modern sink with pullout faucet, and new Corian counters. Forward of the galley is an L-shaped sofa/berth with a teak drop down dining table. To starboard as you enter the salon, is the Nav station with a drop-down bar/table and bulkhead storage port and starboard. The salon woodwork is very nice, and she is equipped with a teak boxed mast and new, beautifully hand-crafted, teak and holly sole. Forward of the salon is a new, modernized head, with pullout faucet for showers, directly connected to the forward V-berth cabin, which has navy blue cushion covers with white piping. Aft of the Nav station there is a workbench in the passageway to the aft cabin. There is access to the well maintained 70-HP Westerbeke diesel from the passageway. The aft cabin is nicely equipped with a large berth, also with navy cushions covers with white piping, and lots of storage. The adjacent head is completely new, with a large modern sink, shower/faucet and electric head. There is convenient access from the cabin directly to the cockpit for privacy. Check out the Full Specs and call for an appointment to view her.
