"Thundergust" is a lovely example of this popular cruising vessel. She has been cruised primarily in the Chesapeake Bay. The owners have been diligent at attending to anything she may need and store her on land every winter. She has a warm teak interior with updated cushions and for better handling at docking they have added a bow thruster. Her ketch rig is easily handled by two and her interior layout is great for a family looking to do some extended cruising.

She has a very classic design and layout, along with her traditional Ketch rig, has proven to be an excellent cruising vessel. When one goes below on this boat you are immediately greeted by the sense of craftsmanship with her teak joinery and teak and holly sole, that is seldom seen on boats today. She is warm and inviting below.

Starting forward and aft of the chain locker is the first stateroom. This stateroom is comprised of a large V-berth with filler, shelving outboard, updated cushions, opening ports as well as an overhead hatch for excellent ventilation. Aft of the berth to port is a vanity with sink and drawers under. To starboard is a seat and hanging locker and additional drawer storage, all of which add to the actual space this stateroom has to offer for changing, relaxing, storage and privacy. Though she may only have one head, having the space and vanity forward frees up time spent in the head for all on board.

Going aft one enters into the Main Salon; Her salon is large and inviting with port and starboard settees with shelves outboard and additional storage behind the seat backs. A centerline table with drop leaves for dining athwartships. The table also house the keel stepped mast as well as the galley cutlery. Here too she has all opening ports and hatch for ventilation. Lovely teak joinery throughout as well as teak and holly sole. Updated cushions and curtains are an added bonus. This interior configuration has the second companionway in the salon allowing for more privacy in the aft cabin.

Aft to port is her large U-shaped sea galley. Opposite to starboard is her second companionway to the salon as well as her wet locker. Aft of the companionway is the full head with separate shower stall. Placement of the head makes her accessable to all on board.

All the way aft is her second stateroom or master stateroom with double berth to port and navigation station with electric panel to starboard. Centerline companionway leads to her cockpit and also gives access to the engine compartment.

She has a very sea going cockpit that is large and deep with a bridge deck by the companionway. Access around the vessel is quite comfortable as she has wide side decks and a traditional coach roof lending to good footing all around.

Her U-shaped Sea Galley is excellent for preparing meals offshore. She has double stainless steel sinks with Hot and Cold pressure water as well as manual water. Stainless steel propane stove with oven, large refrigeration compartment with Adler-Barbour refrigeration, and an abundant amount of storage under, above as well as outboard. Great counter space for food preparation and storage for long distance cruising.
