1998 Hinckley 36 Picnic Boat Classic

Overview

"Work Boat" represents all that should be expected of the Hinckley pedigree and has experienced the highest level of care and upgrades throughout the years.  The current owner has maintained this Hinckley with great pride and it shows.  Twice throughout his ownership, Work Boat has visited the Hinckley yard for custom upgrades including a beautiful teak pulpit for the anchor and windlass added in 2012.  The varnished teak tow rail and eyebrow molding serve as handsome accents against the Black awlgripped hull and topside.  A light cream gelcoat encompases the cockpit and cabin deck with a molded nonskid surface throughout.  Recent blue and white stripe Sunbrella cushions adorn all seating areas.  Aft you'll find a custom Hinckley varnished teak folding table attached to the engine hatch.  Built with the highest quality hardware and materials, this Hinckley picnic boat in the classic lay out will not disappoint.

Cockpit

The well adorned cockpit features blue and white stripe sunbrella seating at the aft settee complimenting a custom Hinckley built teak folding table.  Stowage can be found beneath the gunwale in cockpit lockers with varnished teak doors.  A two step teak boarding ladder can be secured either to port or starboard for safe transit into and out of the cockpit.  Three flush mounted access hatches can be found in the cockpit sole for easy below deck access.  To port, an outboard engine bracket is located just below the gunwale.  Topside, the gunwales are outfitted with stainless steel hardware including two flush-mount fishing rod holders and a custom davit.  The insulated center engine box features a mesh fabric covered cushion.

At the Helm

The helm features a beautifully maintained varnished teak dash and the comfort of a freshly upholstered adjustable Stidd captains chair.  A 14" stainless steel wheel with a varnished wood rim adds a classy look to an already timeless helm.  However, within easy reach is the Hinckley JetStick for enhanced maneuverability.  The array of gauges and electronics are well laid out for comfortable cruising while at the helm.

Accommodations Below Deck

Below deck, you'll find a handsomely appointed cabin with cherry wood throughout, including the hull sheathing and cabinetry.  The cabin sole is of varnished teak and holly and shows in nearly new condition thanks to a cabin sole cover.  The forward v-berth features well balanced, light blue patterned cushions, thus giving a comfortable and classic look.  Accompanying the v-berth is a cedar-lined hanging locker.  To starboard is a solid cherry door accessing the head.  Inside you'll find a undermount porcelain sink with a Grohe fixture, a cherry countertop, and a vacuflush electric head.  Hatches with removable screens allow air to flow freely throughout the cabin while dockside or on the hook.  The entire cabin is well lit in the evening hours by the 5 Figast stainless steel 12v fixtures.  An Accu-point heater provides comfortable cool weather cruising with ductwork throughout including inside the pilothouse.

In the Galley

Located to port, is a well appointed galley featuring cherry faced drawers and cabinets throughout with an earth toned countertop.  A Force 10 two burner stove with a remote propane shut-off provides sufficient cooking amenity.  When not in use a, wood cover adds additional galley workspace over the stove.  An Alder-Barbour 12 volt self draining refrigerator box is located on the aft end of the galley.  The stainless steel sink features Grohe fixtures and both hot and cold pressure from the freshwater system.
