A beautiful Ohlson 38' ready for her next owner. Elixir is a proven racer and traditional cruiser wrapped into one very pretty package. Bright work has been maintained and 3+ coats have been professionally applied every off season, her hull was awl-gripped about 7 years ago and is in excellent condition. Many updates and always professionally maintained. Currently stored inside and easily shown. Extensive sail inventory!

Accommodations

Elixir sleeps a total of 7 in two cabins and provides a nice layout for 2 two couples or a family. There are 2 doors between the main and forward cabin with the head in between.

The V-berth sleeps 2, while the main cabin sleeps 5 (2 pilots, 2 settee and 1 quarter). New navy blue cushions (2005). 

Custom main dinning table

The head contains a manual marine toilet with Y valve and a large hanging locker

 



Galley

The galley is located aft and to port featuring:

  • Princess SS 3 burner stove top/oven-Propane
  • Adler Barbour refrigeration 
  • SS Sink
  • Pressure water system (cold only) 


Sails/Rigging
  • Aluminum main mast and mizzen mast. Aluminum booms, s/s standing rigging, nylon running rigging
  • Mains: 3 total main sails, all in decent condition. Owner primarily uses North Sails main, but the Hood mainsail is also a good cruising sail. 2 Norths sails have 3 reefing points, one North from 90' and one from the 80'
  • Jibs: #2 was new approximately 3 years ago and has a sun cover and roller reefing (Harken) . Seller states this sail is good for up to 35kts. Next is a #3 that seller states is an excellent sail and in good condition (110% North Sails). There is also a working jib (Hood, "heavy weather"-reinforced) good for a strong blow and a good #1 that seller does not use for cruising (North 164%-96')
  • 6 Spinnakers of various ages (no spinnaker pole) 
  • All halyards were replaced in the 90's, spinnaker halyard replaced around 2005. Mizzen running rigging is original, but not used very much. 
  • Winches: Main Mast (4): 1 Barlow #16, 1 Barient #18, 1 Barient #21, 1 Barient #22. Cockpit: 2 Barlow #32, 2 Barient #31. Mizzen Mast: 1 Barient #10H. Winches were take apart about 10 years ago and serviced. 
  • Edson steering (oversized wheel)
